GUEST SPEAKER(S)
Thomas C. Mawson, CAE
Executive Director
National Capital Region Chapter,
U.S. Green Building Council
Tom is the Executive Director of the USGBC’s National Capital Region chapter. In this capacity, Tom oversees the operation of the chapter on behalf of the board of directors, manages finances, promotes participation at chapter events, writes monthly newsletters, schedules USGBC technical review workshops, and plans study groups to prepare individuals for the LEED-AP exam administered by USGBC.
Tom has more than 30 years of experience in the management of not-for-profit organizations. He previously served in executive positions on the national staffs of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Disaster Recovery Institute International, and the Supply Chain Council. He earned his Certified Association Executive designation in 1991.
Tom is a graduate of George Mason University and currently resides in Herndon, Virginia.
