Application for Membership

MAREMA is a non-profit, professional organization that uses all dues and other funds collected to pay the expenses of the organization and support quality, educational seminars offered each year. Our services include a monthly newsletter, our web site (http://marema.com), and the MAREMA Annual Meeting for our members. The Officers and Directors are all volunteers.

Membership is on a calendar year basis. Annual dues are $150.00 for Regular Members, $75.00 for Associate Members and $200.00 for Apprentice Members. A corporate rate may apply to Regular, Apprentice and Associate Members where a minimum of five (5) or more applicants from the same Office initially sign up for membership. Monthly Meeting costs (with the exception of the annual meeting) are $25.00 for members and $30.00 for non-members.

Regular Membership Qualifications:

1) You must certify that you have within the most previous twelve month period, completed a minimum of one commercial transaction and have earned a Gross Commission Income of at least Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) in commercial real estate transactions subject to verification.

2) You must be sponsored by a MAREMA member in good standing.

Associate Membership Qualifications:

1) ". . .shall consist of allied professionals whose input will aid in the promotion of the organization's objectives."

2) Associate Members are encouraged to sponsor the MAREMA Annual Meeting.

3) Associate Member Applicant's will be reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors on an individual basis.

Apprentice Membership Qualifications:

1) Individuals not having experience in the field of commercial real estate; however, are desirous of learning the trade through exposure and participation in the work sessions of the monthly meetings, and are highty encouraged upon accdeptance to membership to enroll in the formal educational programs offered by MAREMA.

2) You must be sponsored by a MAREMA member in good standing.

Corporate Membership Qualifications:

1) ". . .shall consist of offices with multiple applicants who may apply for Regular Membership, Associate Membership and/or Apprentice Membership at a specified corporate rate."

2) Member applicants must be sponsored by a MAREMA member in good standing.

New Real Estate Agents:

If you are a new real estate agent applying as an Apprentice Member, ask about joining MAREMA under the MAREMA Intern Program.
